Los Angeles Angels' Shohei Ohtani, the No. 1 home run in the U.S. Major League Baseball and No. 1 home run in the American League, hit his 25th home run of the season.
Otani played as the No. 2 designated hitter in today's visit against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, drawing a 132m solo arch flying out of the right-center fence in the fifth inning.
With this home run, Ohtani widened the gap with Aaron Judge (New York Yankees, 19) who ranked second in AL home runs to six. 토토
In terms of Major League Baseball as a whole, he hit two more than Pete Alonso (New York Mets) and Matt Olson (Atlanta Braves, 23).
Otani, who hit three hits in five at-bats and added one RBI, rose to third place in the AL RBI and seventh place in batting (0.298), moving vigorously toward his second MVP season.
In the OPS, which combines the slugging percentage and the on-base percentage, he is the only big league batter who has filled the regulation at-bat to record 1.011.
Otani was unanimously awarded the AL MVP two years ago in a vote by the Baseball Journalists Association (BBWAA).
Last year, he finished second behind Judge, who broke the AL home run record for the first time in 61 years.
Despite Otani's hard hit, the Angels lost to Colorado 4-7.
